Slow Internet Available Free on the Boulevard in front of Legislative Assembly Building in San Jose

InsideCostaRica.com is reporting a new free internet service for those in the vicinity of the Legislative Assembly Building

Starting today boulevard that runs in front of the Legislative Assembly building in San José has been added to the area of downtown offering free internet access.

The pilot program is by the Ministerio de Ciencia y Tecnología (Ministry of Science and Technology) called “Costa Rica inalambrica” (Costa Rica wireless), which aims to enable free internet connection in several areas of the country.

In the pilot, access will be from the Atlantic railway station to the Courts.

Users can connect with their mobile devices – smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc – 24/7 at speeds of 512 kbps, enough to receive and send email and slow surfing of the web.
